    The first release of 2026 is a long-awaited collaboration with my good friend Izlo, which began after we reconnected a while back. The track grew from an original idea of his, built around a melody he had written for an experimental break tune. I shaped the rest of the track around that foundation, making small adjustments to the melody and chords to better fit the tempo and structure while keeping the loose, jazzy feel of the original. The result ended up quite different from what I would normally make, but that unpredictability is part of what makes collaborations like this so enjoyable.
