Originally from Derby and now based in Barcelona, Modal, a sound engineer by trade, channels decades of passion for the darker realms of drum and bass, drawing inspiration from the iconic Blue Note parties of the late ’90s.

The EP begins with the title track, Scripture, which blends techstep and neurofunk influences. This dark, intense atmosphere continues with Trident, alongside Aymat.

Repertoire label head, Law, offers a fresh take on the 2023 track Lost Visions transforming it into a crushing reece and tramen-driven piece inspired by the No-U-Turn sound.

The EP concludes with Abandon All, a more introspective roller
that rounds out the collection.
