This track marked the beginning of my journey releasing music as a producer. I had just moved overseas and, with no studio and only a laptop, set out to create something inspired by the sound of Good Looking Records. The goal was to keep things minimal both structurally and in terms of elements, reflecting some of my favorite GLR releases. The track is heavily sample-based and built around an amen break, with atmospherics created using FM8, freeware electric pianos from MDA and GSi, and the notable vocal sample from one of my favorite films, Jacob’s Ladder.
